Plus, the darker/bolder colors takes emphasis away from all that maple. Was afraid to go dark but in some areas in works so well and not overpowering. Sugar maple leaves are segmented into 5 lobes. In the fall, sugar maple leaves will lose their green color and take on a beautiful orange, yellow, or red.

I also painted a large wall on the main floor Benjamin Moore Aura French Press and that looks so good also. Sugar maple leaves will have a dark green color on the outside, and a lighter green on the underside. A yellow pillow on the bed added an extra zing and complemented with the maple trim. LOVE IT! Found the vase and added some more texture with the baskets. Then I found a paint color for the bookshelf niche there, the first color was too powdery blue - yechh! So went bolder and painted it Benjamin Moore 'Lucerne' AF-530. Interesting that the curtains frame the bed now and the window is not so plain. The question then becomes, how fast do sugar maples grow The sugar maple grows between 60 and 75 feet tall. In hotter areas, in zones above 8a, dry soil can cause leaves to scorch and turn brown around the edges. Then at another store, found the darker blue/teal. The sugar maple is one of about twenty species of the genus Acer found in North America. Found the blue/teal patterned sheerer ones for the double curtain rod. I could not and did not paint the trim as you can see - that would be blasphemous.

Might do a little more tweaking in the future. Large, 5-lobed leaf: Both the sugar maple and the Norway maple have this characteristic, with the sugar maple leaf having a few large teeth and rounded spaces between the lobes. I finished the master bedroom and feel so good about the way it looks after looking again at the before photos.
